Millions of people are expected to get down and dirty in South Korea over the next couple of weeks to celebrate the annual Boryeong Mud Festival.
The festival celebrates the mud gathered from the plain near Daecheon beach, with which the city invented seven different kinds of cosmetics.
The first festival was held in 1998 and it has become wildly popular, with organisers saying between two and three million people attended last year.
Events include mud wrestling, a mud king contest, mud fireworks fantasy and mud sliding.
