Flames billow from an early morning house fire in Stuart St, Dunedin, yesterday.
The fire was mainly in the lower floor.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said they were alerted to the fire, in a two-storey house in upper Stuart St, at 6.27am.
Four crews were at the scene at 7.15am.

All occupants were out of the house and no injuries had been reported.
Fire investigator Matt Jones said the blaze was not being treated as suspicious.
