The Palmerston and Waihemo A&P show committee is planning to develop a lifestyle-blocks emphasis at the 2015 Palmerston show.
Up to a hundred businesses associated with lifestyle blocks will be invited to the show, the publicity spokeswoman for the show, Angela Butt, of Dunback, said at the annual meeting last week.
The Palmerston show would be the only lifestyle-block-oriented show in the South Island, Mrs Butt said. There were a large number of lifestyle blocks in the show's wider catchment area. The 2015 Palmerston show will be held on Saturday, February 7.
The Palmerston and Waihemo A&P committee elected at the meeting included president, Paul Mutch, and secretary-treasurer Maria Barta, along with other committee members, Katie Robinson, Melissa Jones Soper, Hamish Soper, Katrina Dodd, Bill Campbell, Gay Mills, Jodie Kemp, Barry Kemp and Angela Butt.
