Regent Theatre volunteers, (from left) Kath Wallace, Jude Simmers, Margaret Lindsay, Sue Hardy, Liz Stacey, Allen Stacey and Alison Cunningham, show some of their favourite items from the Regent Theatre Music and Entertainment Sale.

Hundreds of records, DVDs and CDs will be part of the sale as well as sheet music, books and musical instruments.

The sale starts this Saturday at 10am and runs until 8pm with cash and eftpos payment options available.

Co-ordinator Kath Wallace said separating the music sale from the theatre’s popular 24-hour book sale gave people a chance to enjoy a smaller-scale sale on the stage inside the theatre.

A wide range of musical tastes were represented, from Elvis Presley to Pink Floyd, as well as New Zealand artists including Sir Howard Morrison and even a seven-inch EP of Party Songs — For Adults Only from the 1950s, performed by female impersonator Noel McKay.
