Kurow celebrated its 125th anniversary in style on Saturday with a dominant display against Maheno.
The Red Devils have retained third place in the Citizens Shield standings, with a huge 78-20 win.
It was a game that started in a frantic pace with both teams piling on plenty of points early.
Kurow was ahead 17-13 before the 20 minute mark had even been reached.
They were able to run in four more tries before halftime.
The most impressive of which was an outstanding individual effort from lock Laine Hickey.
The second rower found himself in the outside channel and he threw a dummy to glide through a hole.
With one man to beat and supporting players on either side, the tight forward threw a second dummy and galloped his way over the line.
After 58 combined points in the first half, the second 40 started off at a much slower pace.
It took about 20 minutes before Kurow was able to break through the Maheno line through Hayden Parker to cross the half-century mark.
Kurow continued to pile on the points and even though Harry Dennison dotted down late for Maheno, it was a still a huge victory for the home side.
Reserve hooker Kurt Thomas was able to knock over the final conversion as the ref blew full time.
The Kurow back three was outstanding throughout.
Winger Panupong Bootsan was aptly rewarded with four tries.
And overseas player Lucas Ollion was phenomenal at fullback.
Hayden Parker had himself a day as well, recording 31 points himself.
In the forwards, hooker Nicholas Moa was a strong ball carrier throughout.
Loose forwards Suli Tuivailala and Sione Kaufusi also got through a mountain of work.
The other four teams had the bye this weekend because of King’s Birthday Weekend.
