Stolen Girlfriends Club global sales manager Ayla Surtees said the pop-up was selling clothes for all genders, along with eyewear, handbags, jewellery and shoes.
Some shoppers waited in line for up to three hours, Ms Surtees said.
Jewellery items were the most popular.
Items were discounted by up to 70% and included end of season, end of line and sample goods.
While the fashion company’s sales always went well, it was the first which had been held in the South Island, she said.
The event had been timed to coincide with the arrival of students, the response had been overwhelming and it was likely they would be back, she said.
At some points during the sale, the line had reached around the block, Ms Surtees said.
