Chignell (Hill City-University) is right at home as part of the senior men’s team in the 10km event.
The Dunedin runner, who has been based in London, will be confident after racing 27min 52sec in London, taking 48sec off David Rush’s Otago record from 1989.
Greene, a fellow Hill City-University athlete, has been named in New Zealand’s inaugural mixed relay team.
The 4x2km race will be comfortable for Greene, who won the Otago 5000m women’s championship with her time of 16min 19.70sec at last month’s Dame Yvette Williams track and field meeting.
She also holds a 1500m personal best of 4min 14.81sec.

Earlier this month, the Ariki runner won the senior girls 4km road race and silver in the 2000m and 3000m steeplechase at the New Zealand secondary schools track, field and road championships in Inglewood, Taranaki.
She previously won the New Zealand under-18 cross-country, competed in the New Zealand secondary schools cross-country team at the Australian championships, and broke three Otago records.
