Celebrity chefs Fleur Sullivan, from Moeraki, Bevan Smith, of Riverstone Kitchen, north of Oamaru, and Judith Cullen, from Dunedin, gave away some of their secrets during cooking demonstrations. The event proved so popular that some of the 32 food stalls set up on the racecourse had sold out by early afternoon.
The amount raised for the Waikouaiti Coast Heritage Centre development was not known yesterday, but organiser Jan Jones, of Karitane, said up to 1000 $15 tickets were sold in advance and more were sold on the day.
