Those who can write and perform their own music are invited to enter online at madrienne61@gmail.com, the deadline being February 22.
The about 10 successful musicians will perform at the revamped Queenstown Memorial Hall from April 11 to 13.
The winner will walk away with $1000 and studio recording time.
Two females have won the prize to date, Arrowtown's Holly Arrowsmith gaining the public's top vote last year and Katie McNeill taking top honours in 2011.
