Sport development officer Kelly Nooy said the organisation aimed to offer a number of opportunities to allow young people with a disability to try out sports they may not have done before.
“Younger kids don’t know what sports they want to do without having a go first.”
She was hoping to form a youth club for young people who may have similar disability challenges, who could meet once a month.
“Offering adaptive opportunities with kids who may be similar to them, a similar community, will allow them to be more comfortable trying different things,” she said.
