Terror To Love has been elevated to favourite for the New Zealand Trotting Cup after a trial win at Ashburton yesterday.
"I was rapt. He seems pretty good," Ricky May, his new driver, said.
Terror To Love won the 2400m trial against three Cup rivals by a length and a-half in 3.04.8 for the 2400m, the last 800 in 55.7 and 400 in 26.6.
Terror To Love was third in the running with Highview Tommy making the pace from Sushi Sushi and Auckland Reactor fourth.
Terror To Love had finished second to Mah Sish in his other trial this preparation at Addington on September 3.
Terror To Love, winner of the NZ Cup 12 months ago, is on target to resume racing in the New Brighton Cup free-for-all at Addington on Friday week.
Terror To Love was shortened to $4.50 from $6 by the TAB. He has displaced Auckland Reactor as favourite. Auckland Reactor was lengthened from $5.50 to $6.
Franco Ledger and Gold Ace are on the third line of betting at $8.
