Air New Zealand is paging all Highlanders fans.

Air NZ is putting on an extra 250 seats across six flights to help get Highlanders fans to this Saturday’s transtasman Super Rugby final in Auckland.

The Dunedin-Auckland route usually serviced by the Airbus A320, will be operated by the Airbus A321neo aircraft on Friday and Saturday.

The A321neo, which will add 40 seats per flight, usually operates on the transtasman routes and some Auckland-Wellington services.

"We’re keen to do our bit to get loyal fans up to Eden Park for what is shaping as a cracker of a final,” airline head of tourism and regional affairs Reuben Levermore said.

Dunedin Airport made a call last Sunday morning to Air New Zealand for extra flights to Auckland this weekend.

Air New Zealand’s website yesterday showed the price for the flights was $179 for a seat and carry-on bag.
