Police in Oamaru are looking into whether two teenagers may be connected to a second incident involving vehicles.
Two males were arrested after allegedly breaking into a car in North Oamaru on Tuesday evening.
Constable Dean Paterson said the 17-year-olds were found trying to break into the vehicle in College St, at 11.50pm.
The following morning two vehicles were discovered to have been damaged in SouthRoads yard in Regina Lane, near Waitaki Boys’.
The cars had damage to their panel work, windows, and mirrors.
The pair had been referred to Youth Aid, Const Paterson said.
