There is still only one nomination for the Waihemo Community Board by-election and nominations close on Thursday.
Following the resignation of Diane Curtis last month, a by-election was scheduled for September to fill her vacant seat on the community board.
With nominations due to close at midday on Thursday, Waitaki District Council electoral officer Debbi Miall said just one had been received.
Mrs Miall said the by-election would cost $5000-$15,000.
