Grave fears are held for her safety.
Sergeant Martin Bull, of Balclutha, told the Otago Daily Times this morning, the search is continuing.
As well as continuing to focus on an area around where she was last seen, police are also making "outside enquiries'' to determine whether Ms Lane-Wright was deliberately evading searchers.
Mrs Lane-Wright is 1.5m tall, of medium build, with short, black straight hair and was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue nylon trousers and gumboots.
There has been no sign of the Bull Creek resident despite an extensive search and rescue operation in the area yesterday.
Police are appealing for the public to report any sightings of Mrs Lane-Wright, whose utility vehicle was found down a 40m bank on Bull Creek Rd about 4pm on Monday.
Clutha police sub area controller Senior Sergeant Richard Whitmore said 30 searchers and two police dogs combed an area of forestry and bushland yesterday between where the vehicle was found and the coastline.
Bad weather hampered the search yesterday and it was wound up just after dark last night.
An initial search around where the vehicle was found suggested Mrs Lane-Wright was not in it when it rolled down the bank.
Mrs Lane-Wright is bipolar and had recently been depressed, he said.
"We obviously have grave concerns for her wellbeing."
