The Otago Nuggets have added another piece to their front court.
Forward Aaron Roydhouse has signed with the team for this year’s National Basketball League.
Roydhouse (22) played two games for the Nuggets last season as injury cover during their championship run.
He was named most valuable player of last year’s Dunedin club league, averaging 18.3 points per game, proving strong inside and was a dominant rebounding presence as he led the Mid City Magic to a fourth consecutive title.
A Dunedin local, Roydhouse was on the Otago Boys’ High School national title-winning team in 2014.
He joins a front line which also boasts Sam Timmins, Akiva McBirney-Griffin and Australian import Geremy McKay.
Matthew Bardsley, Pafe Momoisea, Darcy Knox and American import Isaiah Moss are the other confirmed players.
The side is set to begin its season on April 24 when it hosts the Wellington Saints at the Edgar Centre.
