Bruce Gordon (42) and Darren Allen (37) were last heard from on April 30 and were pronounced missing the next day, when the wreckage of their boat, K-Cee, was found floating off Doubtful Sound.
After a delayed start yesterday because of poor weather, a helicopter search began at 10am and was carried out off the Fiordland coastline from Dagg Sound to Nancy Sound.
Weather conditions cleared, but nothing of significance was found, Western Southland police sub-area commander Senior Sergeant Cynthia Fairley said.
A small search on foot was also carried out in the vicinity of where part of the bow of the K-Cee was located, south of Rocky Point.
"Unless new information comes to hand, it's unlikely there will be further active searches."
