Submissions on the draft $460 million Otago regional land transport programme will be heard in Dunedin on Monday by members of the Otago Regional Transport Committee.
At least 90 submissions were received on the draft programme, of which up to 20 will be explained by submitters in person or by video conference.
The document, first made public in late March, would be reviewed by committee members in light of submissions. A final programme would then be lodged with the Otago Regional Council for consideration on June 20.
Submissions were made by residents throughout Otago, the majority from the wider Dunedin area.
The programme for 2012-15 outlined projects which might be recommended for funding administered by the New Zealand Transport Agency.
Any land transport activity proposal put forward by Otago councils or the national transport agency had to be included in the programme before national funding could be considered.
Road safety improvements were the focus of most Otago projects, although other funding proposals were put forward for roading, walking and cycling facilities, as well as public transport services and infrastructure.
