Showbrera credited her sire, Cabrera, with his first winner when she cleared maiden ranks at Wingatui yesterday.
Cabrera, an unraced son of Redoute's Choice and the English group two winner Bitty Girl, left 22 foals in two seasons at the Manorshire Stud of Robert Moriarty at Ashburton.
Showbrera, trained by Shane Laming, is raced by breeders Geoff Laird and Jane Matthews, of Ashburton. Showbrera is a half-sister to Showmaker, who won two of her five starts for the same owners. S
