Police have released the name of a woman killed in a crash in North Canterbury yesterday.
She was Elizabeth (Betty) Amy Masters, 82, of Hanmer Springs.
She was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle travelling south on State Highway 7 that collided head-on with another vehicle just north of the Hurunui River Bridge about 12.30pm.
She died at the scene.
The four occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
