Extreme weather conditions in Taupo have forced the postponement of three matches at the Olympic men's football qualifying tournament.
Winds of up to 100kmh have resulted in damage to stadium signage and scaffolding and also seen the matches between New Zealand and Tonga, American Samoa and Solomon Islands and Fiji and Vanuatu postponed until tomorrow.
New Zealand won their opening game against Papua New Guinea 1-0 and were expected to beat Tonga comfortably.
Oceania Football Confederation officials assessed the two potential venues of Owen Delany Park and Crown Park and concluded the safety of players, match officials and general public might be compromised if matches took place today.
Organisers are hopeful the weather will pass sufficiently for the games to be played tomorrow, with the two semifinals on Thursday and final on Saturday.
