Police have still not located the body of missing Dunedin man Martin Suttie from the waters of Lake Wakatipu.

Yesterday marked the fourth day of the search for the 37-year-old, who was first reported missing on Sunday afternoon after fishing south of Glenorchy.

About eight police officers could be seen searching the area around the mouth of the Buckler Burn Stream yesterday.

A team of 10 dive specialists from HMNZS Matataua joined the national police dive squad yesterday morning.

A police release last night said planning was under way for remote-operated and autonomous underwater vehicles to be used today.

The Otago Daily Times was unable to determine if the navy divers were part of the main police search at the river mouth.

Requests to the police media centre remained unanswered last night.
