Skittled on steep street

Queenstown's Ballarat St resembled a bowling alley yesterday after the handbrake apparently failed on a courier van, causing it to career down the steep road and hit three parked cars, a power pole and a road sign.

A police media spokeswoman said no-one was injured.

Police were ‘‘making inquiries into the circumstances of the crash’’, she said.
