A person had to be freed from a car after it crashed into a building in Invercargill this evening.
Emergency services responded to the incident on Rimu Rd about 8pm.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said they were alerted by paramedics to an engine fire, and an appliance from Invercargill attended.
A person was trapped for a time but was freed from the car around 8.40pm.
A police spokeswoman said initial indications suggested the person had sustained moderate injuries.
