Kaleidoscope of entertainment at the edge of the world

Cosplay, comics and contests will all be on offer at the Edge of the World Expo in Dunedin this weekend.

The charity expo, running for the second time on Saturday and Sunday at the Edgar Centre, is a convention dedicated to comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television — and all proceeds from the event will go to charity.

Impressive Events director Rory Foley said the event would raise money for Camp Quality, a charitable trust running camps and events for children living with cancer.

More than 40 stands would be on offer throughout the weekend and a sensory hour would run from 9am to 10am on Sunday.

"It’s for a fantastic cause and is a fun event for everyone.

"We’ve got dress-ups, laser tag, a bouncy castle, stalls ... anything and everything will be on offer."

The expo will run from 10am to 4pm on both days; door sales will be available.
