Police are seeking information about the whereabouts of a 15-year-old Timaru girl they believe might be in Dunedin or Oamaru.

Sergeant Geoff McCrostie, of Timaru, said Natasha Moore/Cameron, who was in CYF care, went missing from her caregiver's house in Waimate on August 13.

Natasha had gone missing before, but because she had been missing for so long police were concerned for her wellbeing, Sgt McCrostie said.

Natasha could be at Broad Bay or in Oamaru, where family members lived, he said.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Sgt McCrostie at the Timaru Police Station, 03 687-9856 or 03 687-9808.
