Alternative options are being sought in the proposed Roxburgh pool redevelopment because of a land transfer issue with the Ministry of Education.
Plans to upgrade the pool site in Roxburgh have been developing after years of false starts to fund the project.
The latest revamp plans had included a section of land partially owned by the ministry, and subdividing and a land transfer of the site was required.
However, at last week's Teviot Community Board meeting, board member Sally Feinerman expressed concerns about timeframes after it was revealed at a committee meeting it would be another two years before the land transfer matter with the ministry had been resolved.
"We have got some concerns around that,'' she said.
"We understand this is a process but we want to figure how we can move this project along quicker.''
The Roxburgh Community Pool in Cheviot St is open during summer.
Ms Feinerman said the present state of the pool was another issue, as pool operators did not want to open unless some patch-up work was done.
A reconfiguration of the existing redevelopment plans will be explored with consultants on the project.
