Two senior staff appointments have been made at the new Wanaka South Primary School due to be completed by the start of next year.
Lisa Bailey has been appointed as the school's first deputy principal.
Ms Bailey is a former deputy principal at St Joseph's School in Queenstown and is now at Cromwell College.
Wanaka Primary School associate principal Daryl Gellatly has been appointed associate principal.
Announcing the appointments, principal Jodie Howard said both would start work at the beginning of term two, and advertising would begin soon for teaching positions.
The name of the new school is due to be announced next month.
