Two men were arrested and charged this morning in relation to a double fatal road crash in Manawatu in February.
Bailey Hohepa Kinita, 14, from Shannon, near Palmerston North, and Louise Diane Reichenbach, 20, from Foxton Beach were killed when the vehicle they were in rolled on Foxton Beach Road on February 20.
They were not wearing seat belts and were among seven people in a vehicle designed for five.
Police said the 19-year-old male driver was charged with two counts of manslaughter and four counts of dangerous driving causing injury.
The 23-year-old male driver of a second vehicle had been charged with two counts of being party to manslaughter and four counts of being party to dangerous driving causing injury.
Both would appear at Levin District Court this morning.
