Police are investigating after a man entered a Queenstown currency exchange business and demanded money.
A police spokeswoman said a man entered the Travelex store shortly before 7pm yesterday and demanded cash.
He did not have a weapon, she said.
"It appears a panic alarm may have been set off, and the man left without anything.''
Police were checking to see if there was any security footage of the incident.
