Winning the Bachelor Bake-off at the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral show on Saturday could have boosted the 20-year-old Oamaru stock truck driver's standing in the singles market, but he is not available.
Part of his prize was one ticket for the Middlemarch Singles' Train and Ball at Easter.
Asked if he would go, Mr Fox said that would involve communication with Miss Williams.
The Bachelor Bake-off was a new feature at this year's show day on Saturday, contestants coming under the critical eye of award-winning Riverstone Kitchen chef Bevan Smith.
Contestants were given a wide choice of ingredients to cook on barbecues, but the only meat was rib-eye steak.
Mr Smith said he was not looking for "meat in a bun" but something unusual, which the contestants tried to serve up to women they selected from the big audience.
Mr Fox's specialty is steak, which Miss Williams said he "cooks pretty good".
Mr Fox said he cooked a couple of meals a week, from steak and chips to chicken and tacos.
"I'm not just a baked beans on toast man," he said.
North Otago show president Murray Elliott was very pleased with the crowd and said there had been "wonderful comments" about the size of the show.
This year trade space had been increased and more than 100 sites were almost full, except for some last-minute cancellations by Christchurch exhibitors because of the earthquake.
However, Mr Elliott met people, including judges, from Christchurch who had come for the day out.
Waitaki Mayor Alex Familton described the show as "second to none".
"It's the day we get together as a community and look to our heart and soul," he said.
Supreme animal of the show, selected from all the supreme champions, went to Tuxedo Park, ridden by Felicity Penno, who won the ridden horse classes.
The Miss North Otago A and P Show title was won by Sarah Baker, with Bridget Sandri second and Ashley Sinclair named Miss Personality.
At the carnival on Friday night, one of the feature attractions was the Wearable Parts" parade, Mark Rawson as "Mark the Dark Spark" winning the contest.
Showers on Friday cleared, but a cool evening on Friday night reduced the crowd at the evening show carnival.
On Saturday, the day started cool and damp, but the sun was shining for the grand parade and the crowd appeared to be similar to previous shows, with the car park full.
