The annual Arrowtown 10s rugby tournament has been hailed another success.

"It was a good crowd, a great day. It came together really well and each game was very physical and pretty tight," Arrowtown player and event organiser Hayden Finch said.

The Invercargill Blues' Blacks team was undefeated to take the $500 purse and beat hosts Arrowtown 36-12.

It was "by far the best team", aided by star Southland player James Wilson, who ran in three tries.
