Muniandy has a handy book of five rides, whose barrier draws range from shocking to perfect.
Mother Nature may help Muniandy find a good path for Finbarr, who must overcome barrier 15 in race 9.
The Wingatui track was rated heavy leading into the meeting, which is likely to force riders out wide to look for better ground in the later races.
"His last run was a pretty good run and he can handle the wet track, and it is the last race so the draw is not going to matter, I wouldn't think," Muniandy said.
Finbarr, trained by Gay Robinson, and fellow leading contender Orepuki Lad must carry 59kg in the testing conditions.
They clash with Gipsyrocker, who will carry 56.5kg, but is not proven on heavy tracks like her two rivals.
Finbarr's stablemate, Verify, also starts from a wide draw in race 4.
Muniandy found an economical path from barrier 2 for the horse in her last start and she managed only a fair fourth placing.
Verify is going to need to lift her game, starting from barrier 14, to be competitive today.
Muniandy rides the Terry Kennedy-trained Juliette, who looks a leading chance from barrier 3 in race 8.
She finished solidly to grab third placing in her last start on the slow8 Wingatui track, but will face vastly differently conditions today.
"If it is a loose track she will get through it all right, I think," Muniandy said.
"She ran a good race first up and she has been working well. She has got a big chance."
Mahana, Highland Lady and Advent all look poised for a maiden win and will offer Juliette competition.
The surrounds of the track, rather than its footing, may be the biggest concern for Muniandy when The Young Pretenda lines up in race 6.
The horse is hard fit coming off an impressive hurdling debut at Riverton on May 2 and is proven on heavy tracks.
But the Jo-Ann Gordon-trained 8yr-old has a horror record at Wingatui, having missed a place in all of his eight starts there.
Southern Dancer and Smiling Assassin look the main dangers for the promising hurdler.
Muniandy also rides outside chance Drumstorm in race 3.
