A woman charged in connection with the taping of an elderly rest home resident's mouth was granted interim name suppression when she appeared in Auckland District Court today.
The 60-year-old did not plead to a charge of assaulting a resident, whose name is also suppressed, at Belhaven Rest Home in the Auckland suburb of Epsom.
The woman was bailed to reappear in the court on August 6, Radio New Zealand reported.
She disputed the allegations, her lawyer said.
