A man in his 60s is in a serious condition after being stabbed in North Taieri, near Mosgiel, last night.
Police responded about 11pm to a report the man had been stabbed by a person known to him at an address on Grant Dalton St.
The victim suffered a wound to his abdomen, and was taken to Dunedin Hospital
A police spokeswoman said he was a serious but stable condition following surgery.
Police were speaking to a person in relation to the incident, and were not seeking anyone else.
