New Zealand's Caulfield Cup runner-up Harris Tweed has recovered from a colic attack which threatened his Melbourne Cup ambitions.
The Murray and Bjorn Baker stable advised Victorian stewards on Monday the five-year-old was back to full health after suffering the attack on Saturday night.
"He hasn't missed any work and galloped on Sunday and Monday," Bjorn Baker said.
Harris Tweed was among the third acceptors for the Melbourne Cup for which he is at $21 with TAB Sportsbet to better his fifth place last year.
The Bakers also have a strong chance in Saturday's Victoria Derby (2500m) with $14 chance Lion Tamer.
Circumstances forced Lion Tamer to lead in Saturday's Vase (2040m) and he was only run down by Rekindled Interest who was promoted to favouritism for the Derby after the win.
