Oamaru driver Charlotte Purvis won her first race on the Dunedin track with Stellar Success in race 5.
Purvis, who encounters a host of smart trotters in her day job with trainer Phil Williamson, gave the Michael Heenan-trained squaregaiter her tick of approval after the victory.
``We didn't get away too well but after that she trotted really well - she is a beautifully gaited trotter.''
The track's most winning driver, Dexter Dunn, added to three more victories to his long list of successes.
Dunn scored wins with Jingles Bromac in race 2, Queen of Glory in race 6 and Millwood Daisy in race 7.
Victory for the Bruce Negus-trained Queen Of Glory completed the revitalisation of her career. The mare was away from the races for more than 17 months after having a foal.
Negus bought the mare with her filly foal by Betterhancheddar at foot at a mixed bloodstock sale.
The victory also capped a big week for Negus's wife, Colleen, who part-owns Queen Of Glory.
Earlier this week, Colleen Negus returned from competing in the winning New Zealand team against the United States in an amateur drivers' competition.
The experience of competing on some of North America's best-known racetracks, including Yonkers raceway, was a huge thrill, she said.
In race 4, South Canterbury pacer Belmont Jet showed how well he is going for Temuka Trainer Brent White.
The 5yr-old took his record to two wins from three starts with White.
Belmont Jet is having his second stint with White who won with the horse at Forbury Park in December. The rest of his racing has been from owner-breeder Donna Williamson's Levels stable.
