A pout, a one-hand-in-pocket sly wink, a seductive over-the-shoulder smile - all of the signature Hollywood A-lister poses were on display in the Octagon last night.
It was the world premiere of Kaikorai Primary School's latest feature-length film Just Another Ordinary Day, which was screened at the Regent Theatre.
And the pupils did not waste the opportunity to act like their favourite movie stars on the red carpet.
In fact, it was anything but just another ordinary day. They looked quite the part exiting their limousines, wearing fashionable (and sometimes outrageous) outfits amid camera flashes.
Since the start of the year, the school's 300 pupils have been involved in making the film, which included script writing, directing, recording, acting, make-up, costume and set design, adding music and editing.
Principal Simon Clarke said the movie plot centred around a new family, visiting the school for a tour with the principal.
''They visit each classroom to see what the students are doing, and instead of seeing kids read the traditional way, they walk through the classroom door and they're taken to a magical world.
''The film is a sequel to one we made four years ago.''
A school fundraiser allowed about 1200 pupils, family and friends to attended the event free of charge, he said.
Sadly, there were no Hollywood A-listers at the screening last night. But as Mr Clarke pointed out, you should never say never.
The next time the school premieres a film, some of today's budding young actors may return after finding jobs in the profession.
''Who knows?''
