A man was seriously injured in a workplace accident near Waikouaiti last night.
A St John spokesman said two ambulances arrived at Matanaka Drive about 5pm to treat a 55-year-old man who had fallen from a truck.
He was taken to Dunedin Hospital ''in a serious condition''.
A police spokeswoman said police also attended the accident.
WorkSafe had been advised.
