Charity day at Treble Cone

Treble Cone skifield will open for its traditional charity day on Saturday to benefit a canine search and rescue organisation.

Treble Cone, which officially closed last Sunday, will reopen for the Thunderboards benefit day, the proceeds from which will go to Aspiring Avalanche Dogs.

The group intends to use the money raised to buy an aluminium transport toboggan for the dogs.

A capacity crowd of about 250 people is expected for the charity day, with a restricted number of pre-sale tickets available this year.

Tickets are available from Thunderbikes, in Helwick St, Wanaka, and cost $40.
