Two males arrested after a man died during a fight in south Auckland have had their charges upgraded from assault to manslaughter.
A 24-year-old and a 16-year-old appeared together in the Manukau Youth Court on Thursday, charged over the killing of a 21-year-old man during an incident on Gifford Rd, Papatoetoe, on August 1.
They were granted bail to reappear on October 5.
All details of the accused and the deceased were suppressed.
