Two people are dead following a plane crash near Kaka Point this morning.
A St John spokesman confirmed two ambulances were sent to the scene, believed to be a farm in the area, and two helicopters were mobilised.
Those helicopters were stood down once paramedics arrived at the scene and assessed the situation.
He confirmed two people were dead at the scene, but referred all other comment to police.
A police spokeswoman said police were at the scene of a microlight crash.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority the plane was a Rans S6 microlight.
Police were called to the scene about 10.15am today.
The Fire Service also responded to the crash.
Police are currently in the process of notifying the deceased's next of kin.
A joint investigation will be carried out by Police and the Civil Aviation Authority.
