Michael Coleman, who missed the ride on Salvatore when he won his last start, may be compensated in the Foxbridge Plate at Te Rapa tomorrow.
Coleman was sidelined with illness when Salvatore won his last start at Te Rapa over 1400m on July 31. Samantha Collett was the substitute rider.
The win came after minor placings for Salvatore in his previous four starts.
Coleman has won the weight-for-age Foxbridge Plate (1200m) on O'Malleys Boy (2002) and Jacowils (2008).
Jacowils is engaged tomorrow with Mark Hills the rider. Jacowils has not raced since he won an open 1200m at Ellerslie in September. He was unplaced in the Foxbridge Plate last year.
Bulginbaah, winner of the race in 2006 and last year, is back tomorrow as a 10yr-old. Trudy Thornton, who rode him last year, has the mount.
Sam Spratt has opted to ride Miss Raggedy Ann. She has ridden Run Like Al in his last nine starts, including an easy last-start win over 1200m at Ruakaka. Run Like Al was resuming from an 11-week break. Andrew Calder has the mount tomorrow.
Katie Lee has the record book against her to win the race. The star 3yr-old filly of last season is resuming after a five-month break on a track where she has won three of her four starts.
A 4yr-old has not won the Foxbridge Plate since 1998 and a 4yr-old mare has not been successful since Lodore Lady in 1992.
