Police are investigating the sudden death of a young man at central Wellington last night.
The body of the 23 year-old man was found by a Reading Cinema Courtenay staff member shortly before 8.30pm.
The theatre had been screening The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, a vampire romance.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller said a scene examination was being carried out and an autopsy would be done tomorrow.
Police were still trying to locate the man's next of kin but believed he was a Wellington resident.
Mr Miller said the movie theatre where the man was found would remain closed until the scene examination had been completed.
