Racing: Dunn back on

Reinsman John Dunn has bright prospects of renewing a winning association with Rangataua Ray at Addington tonight.

Dunn is back on Rangataua Ray with Matthew Williamson on holiday in Australia.

Rangataua Ray capped a string of minor placings with a win over 2600m (mobile) at Addington on June 4.

He indicated he had trained on with a trial win at Oamaru on Sunday.

Dunn was the regular driver of Rangataua Ray at the outset of his racing career. He has driven the Armbro Operative gelding in seven of his eight wins.

Dunn has followed on from last season with 71 wins this season. He is sixth in the premiership led by his brother Dexter with 153 wins.

John had his best career tally last season with 74 wins.

He has Black Mambo (race 10) another top chance tonight.

Black Mambo won at the Marlborough meeting last Friday and Sunday, his first two starts since transferring to the stable of Robert Dunn.

The trials on Wednesday were held at Ashburton, not Addington as stated yesterday.
