Stories of self-destruction, greed, ambition and abuse were told by performers in the 2010 Stage Challenge held at the Regent Theatre last night.
Hundreds of pupils from nine Otago schools took the opportunity to perform for eight minutes, incorporating dance, drama and design to portray a theme of their choice.
The aim was to leave the audience thinking of the variety of issues raised, which also included designer babies, finding identity and honouring heritage.
Photographer Craig Baxter captured the action.
