Police are continuing to investigate a reported home invasion in North Dunedin on Friday.
They received no information from the public yesterday, following an appeal for sightings of anyone in the area of Selwyn St about 2am on Friday.
Four men in their 20s who live in the street say they were "bound and hooded" during a home invasion early on Friday.
Detective Sergeant Brett Roberts said "possibly four males or more" entered the house and tied up the men who lived there.
The men received minor injuries during the incident and some items were stolen.
Before leaving, one of the offenders cut a tie that bound one of the victim's hands.
That man then released the other flatmates.
The offenders were carrying a gun described as similar to a pistol, and a large knife, Det Sgt Roberts said.
He hoped someone, possibly taxi drivers working in the Northeast Valley area on Friday morning might have seen something and would contact police with information.
Police have no leads on who set a fire that significantly damaged the front of a Leith St, North Dunedin, house at the weekend.
