Protesters throng capital supporting Jordan's king

Thousands of Jordanians have taken to the streets of the capital to voice allegiance to their king in the biggest protest there in weeks.

Some 10,000 Palestinian residents and Bedouin tribesmen shouted slogans backing King Abdullah II.

The protest was about triple the size of opposition protests held over the last three months inspired by uprising in Tunisia and Egypt and demanding wider public say in politics, more jobs and reduced food prices.
