Pope Francis is welcomed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Indonesia, yesterday. It was the first working day of the Pope’s 12-day apostolic trip to Southeast Asia and the Pacific, which will also include stops in Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore.
