In its fourth year, the Riverton Midwinter Twilight Market offered a variety of attractions for the whole family with candles, lanterns and more than 80 stalls filling the streets.
Riverton residents (from left) Mike Hochao (12), Olivia Carran (12) and Daniele Anderson (11) had fun waving lit-up items as light sabres.
They said the event was something that residents looked forward to every year.
Several shops and businesses - such as the Te Hikoi Museum - were open for the event.
